Patricia was born on January 23, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Marian and Genevieve (Pelka) Melton. Pat was raised and educated in Chicago; and was married to Leonard Galkantas on May 14, 1960. Pat and Leonard moved to Round Rock in 2013.
Pat’s greatest joy was caring for her family and home. Pat had a wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren, parenting to the end with a final message to all of us prior to her death, “I want you all to be okay. I want you all to be good. I want you all to be happy. I want you all to be good to God.”
Pat is survived by her husband of 63 years, Leonard Galkantas; daughters, Nancy (Tom) Haycraft, Sue (Kathy) Galkantas, Allison (Jim) Miller; son, Leonard (Carol) Galkantas; grandchildren, Lindsey (Chris) Culkin, Katelyn (Jake) Lambers, Lauren, Colin and Chase Galkantas. Pat was preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard and Robert Melton and sister, LaVerne Flanigan.
Private interment will be at a later date.
