Patricia graduated from Elgin High School and attended The University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Bachelors Degree in studio art and a Masters in art history. She began her career as an art history lecturer at The University of Texas and went on to work as a member of the curating staff at the university's art museum.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hilla and her son John.
She is survived by daughters Melanie Barthelme and husband Steve of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Teresa Leone and husband Robert of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughters Amy Leone of Atlanta, Georgia and Casey Leone of Fort Worth, Texas; sister Lynnalee Kern and husband Lee of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful team at the Seton Medical Center ICU and especially to Patricia's longtime caregiver and friend, George Pugh.
A private viewing will be held on Saturday afternoon, September 20 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Austin. A private graveside service will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 21 at Austin Memorial Park.
