

Paul Wayne Dykstra was killed in an automobile collision near Austin on the evening of November 4, 2003. Paul was born in Austin on September 11, 1970. He lived most of his life in Austin and loved the area lakes and parks. Paul worked as an electrician, and had participated in the construction of numerous commercial and industrial structures in the Austin area. He was also a talented artist, preferring pen and ink or pastel pencil media. Pauls two children, Alexandria (9) and Cody (7) were the light of his life and his principal motivating factor. In Pauls absence, they remain his precious gifts to the world. Paul is survived by his parents, Jerry and Elaine Dykstra and his brother Mark Dykstra, all of Austin; by his beloved children Ali and Cody Dykstra and their mother Hope Mulvihill, all of Fort Worth; his grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Dykstra of Alamogordo, New Mexico; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service is being held at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, at the corner of Windsor and Exposition in Austin, at 3:30 pm Friday, November 7, 2003, with a reception for greeting the family following at the Fellowship Hall at Tarrytown United Methodist Church, 2601 Exposition. The Reverend David Fikes, Rector at Good Shepherd, will officiate at the memorial service. All who would like to celebrate Pauls short time with us are invited.
