Polly met Tommy in 1967 and in 1971 she married her high school sweet heart and they were happily married for 44 years. She was an educator for most of her life. Pauletta’s recreation times was spent making mud pies as a child and sewing outfits for her baby dolls. She loved dancing in the arms of her husband and being with friends and family. Most importantly, she loved having an active share in spreading the good news about God’s Kingdom.
Pauletta dedicated her life to Jehovah God in July 1990 and received her religious training in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. As a result of her faith and trust in Jehovah, she entertained the prospect of being with her loved ones to live forever on earth.
She leaves behind her husband Thomas Rittenhouse, and children Tiffany Tilghman (Timothy), Toushann Rittenhouse, and Thomas Rittenhouse II, grandchildren Jazmin Haywood, Alexus Haywood, Jabreya Tighman, Andrew Tilghman, Justice Tilghman, all from Richmond, VA, and Tamia Rittenhouse and Evan Rittenhouse of Austin, TX, and great-grand Saleice Rittenhouse, and a host of other relatives.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until ten o’clock in the evening, on Friday, the 4th of September 2015, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
