

Pauline graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1929. After graduating she then moved to Llano where she worked for the Post Office. In 1945 she moved to Austin and began working for the IRS; this is where she met the love of her life, Ralph Blount. They were married August 17, 1947 in Austin, TX.
Pauline was a charter member of Faith United Methodist Church and was also a member of the UMW. She sang in the choir and was involved in all aspects of the church. Pauline loved children she was known to watch several of her nieces and nephews that needed to be cared for. She liked to garden and grow flowers, but most of all she loved to be there for anyone who may need assistance.
Pauline felt it was what a true Christian should do; to be selfless and caring - and that is exactly how she will be remembered by her neighbors and church members past or present, and especially her family.
Pauline is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Blount; sisters, Nila Walker and Vernell Weed and brother, Clay Bode.
Pauline is survived by her sisters, Willie Mae Oestreich, Alice Houston and Alabeth Dietz and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
An open visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W. William Cannon Dr.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park in the Mausoleum.
