Peggy Joyce Martin, 88, passed away on January 22, 2026, in Longview, Texas, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born on April 14, 1937, in Brownwood, Texas, to Paul and Hattie Browder, and was the second oldest of eleven children. Peggy lived most of her life in Austin, Texas, before moving to Burnet, Texas in 2020.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Martin; her parents; her sister, Joan; and brothers James, Lynn, and Jimmy. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands: Darlene (Dean) Grotheim, Sharon (Cary) Coker, and Glenda (Jim) Rakes. Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive Peggy.
A family committal service will be held at 1pm, on January 31, 2026, at Florence Cemetery, located at 300 South St, Florence, Texas.
Please join the family for a memorial service to be held on February 14, 2026, at 10:30 am at First Baptist Church of Burnet, 205 S Vandeveer St, Burnet, Texas, with lunch following in the fellowship hall.
