Peggy Sue Shaw Ponder was born May 15, 1938 to H.P. and Mary Eloise Shaw in Dallas, Texas. She passed away November 12, 2008 at Seton Williamson after a brief bout with cancer. She married Robert Ponder on August 5, 1959. She is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Stacey Rooks and son-in-law, Jerry Rooks; three granddaughters, Katie, Amy and Janie Rooks; and two great-grandsons, Brayden and Colton of Schertz, Texas. Peggy was a legal secretary for District Judge D. Brown Walker in Dallas County and J.C. Kellum of Radio TV KLBJ. She spent 10 years of her life taking care of her mother and father who preceded her in death. She has a special gift of expressing herself with words and a sketch pad. She was a spicy lady who touched everybody's heart. She will leave a void in the hearts of all that knew her. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2008 in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with Dora McDonald, her friend of 42 years, officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
