Pete L. Alba

Pete L. Alba, age 74, of Austin, passed away Monday, February 9, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Tijerina Alba and Felipa Ledesma Alba; brother, Fred, Frank and Albino “Sonny” Alba; and sisters, Mary A. Cruz, Elida H. Delgado, Antonia A. Martinez and Loretta A. Leos He is survived by his wife, Theresa B. Alba; brother, Anastacio Alba, Sr.; sons, Roy Alba, Sr. and wife Elaine, Robert Alba, Sr. and wife Belinda and Ray Alba and wife Stephanie; daughters, Mary Ann Hollingsworth and husband Bill, Virginia Ann Creek and husband Earl, and Theresa Ann Alba; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at El Milagro Dialysis Center and South Austin Hospital. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 13, 2004, at Dolores Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Roy Alba Jr., Dean Hollingsworth, Robert Alba Jr., and Homer Valadez Jr.; nephew, Manuel Cruz; and son-in-law, Earl Creek. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Alba Sr., Ernest Cruz, Ernest Alba Jr., and Ephriam Leos.
