Dr. Philip O. Carey, (Col. US Army, Ret.), age 77, of Austin, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2005. After graduation from Oklahoma Military Academy, Phil received his Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Medicine, from the University of Oklahoma, and a Masters of Arts in Hospital Administration from Baylor University. Phil served his country with distinction in the Medical Corp of the US Army for 29 years. His major hospital and medical service commands included postings in Germany, Korea, and various posts within the Unites States. His many interests included golf, woodworking, model aircraft, dogs and horses. His parents, J. Lloyd and Leah S. Carey; his wife, Mildred; and son, David preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Warren; sons, Philip Carey, Llano and Lee Cox and six grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:15 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Ft.
