Rae Nell Witter-Sackett

Rae Nell (Rick) Witter-Sackett Our darling Rick slipped away from the confines of this world on May 14, 2005. She was born in Muldoon, Texas to Effie Mae and Louis Robbins. Rick is survived by her husband Frederick (Fritz) Sackett, her daughter Robin Teal Hinkle, her son in law Terry Hinkle, her brother Bubba Robbins, her sister in law Dot Robbins, her granddaughters Kelly Amsler, and Ashley Reed as well as her grandsons Hollis Grizzard, and Adam Adrian and six great-grandchildren. Ann and Steve Elms as well as Louise Stollenwerk are also considered part of her extended family. She also left behind her beloved constant companion a five pound yorkie named Kathryn Hepburn. She was predeceased by her first husband Tom Witter, and her son Joe Witter, her brothers Lonnie Robbins, Gaylen Robbins, Bill Robbins, Burney Robins and her sisters Nina Richardson, and Loyce Proue. Rick loved to recount the times when she was between seven to ten years old when she would go down to the pasture where her father kept his horses and find one she could catch by the mane. If the horse would stand sill long enough she’d shinny up its leg ride around the pasture bareback with no bridle at break-neck speeds. That bold fearlessness of her youth continued throughout the remainder of her life. No matter how bitter the storm nor dark the night we will always comforted by the memory of Rick’s gentle soul, twinkling eyes, and endearing smile. Vaya con Dios – our precious darling. The family will receive friends between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home.
