To the family, I grieve with you as Randall was a dear valued friend through our junior and senior high school days.  And, even though, we moved on in separate directions for multiple years, we reconnected and spent much time entertaining, consoling and supporting each other as we journeyed through our aging process.  He, his values , beliefs and friendship will be missed.  God Bless!

My condolences to the family.  Randall and I were classmates at George Washington Carver High School.  He was a great person.  I spoke with him about 3 months ago.  Blessings to the family.  Dorothy Alexander.  Miami Florida 

Wow!  I’ve been thinking about what to say about my Uncle Randy, there are so many memories, he was such a dynamic personality.  I guess I will just write what comes to mind.
He visited our house in Akron on 202 Edward Ave, one visit was a surprise, I was about 11 or 12, we were walking home from church, on a Friday evening and as we approached the house out off of the dark porch came Uncle Randy, we were all scared, not knowing who this man with a duffle bag was running toward us in the dark, and as he got closer, while laughing he announces it’s me your Uncle Randy!!!  Making a surprise, unannounced visit, while on leave.  
He was also a techie, He had the coolest cameras and would seem to have the latest gadgets.
We had great phone conversations, that could go for quite a while, we would talk sports, politics, share thoughts about our faith in God, share family memories past and present.  He also shared his love for our country.  If you ever spent any time with Uncle, you know he would always share a teaching moment, he always wanted to share the wisdom he gained from his life experience.  On some of those calls he would also speak to my wife and share his wisdom with her.
I saw him as a server, like our Grandfather Daddy Roy, and my father LeRoy affectionately called Pappa, they were willing to go out of their way to help others.  He served our country for over 20 years in the Airforce with honor and dignity.  He served as a faithful member of his church.
During a visit on May 13, 2021, which turned out to be the last time I would see him alive, I had the opportunity to see him in a different light; I prayed with him and for him.  He expressed to me how much he loved Auntie Lilly, he expressed love for all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
I could go on, but I need to stop…. I miss you Uncle Randy…  Love you…  “My Favorite Uncle Randy”

Uncle Randy was my father’s only brother, so as he reminded me often, I was his only niece. Most of our conversations started out this way, of him reminding me of the way my voice melted his heart when I greeted him saying, “hi Uncle Randy”. He would tell me how proud he was of me and my children, and express joy at our many talents and accomplishments. The members of our family, he would remind me often, were extremely talented, so we came about it honestly.

Many of our conversations were spent reliving our memories of family vacations and the joy we had when we were all together. I loved those long trips to Florida, when we piled into the station wagon and my father drove almost non-stop to Summerville, Georgia, and then on to Orlando to visit Uncle Randy, Aunt Lily, and the cousins. 

He loved spending hours on the phone talking to my husband, with whom he shared many interests. Uncle Randy appreciated and loved him, too. He always inquired about Cir’s health and looked forward to the times when they could talk again.

What I loved and will miss most of all is hearing his infectious laugh - it reminded me of my father’s laugh. And although we hadn’t seen each other in years, I will miss his bright smile when he saw me, showing me that his love was genuine and special because I was his only niece. I will always feel that special connection to him, my father’s only brother, my only uncle. I love you, Uncle Randy.


My Uncle Randy....the Uncle I've always anticipated on seeing  ....as a child...waiting to see the unforgettable smile and  laughable words of joy he would share with us during each visit. 
His words of inspiration and encouragement rings in my heart
His love for me and my siblings spurred on a responsibility to fill the void of our father(his brother after his next stage of life beyond). 
Thank you Uncle Randy....rest in the Shalom of our creator.

One of my best memories is being picked up for church in the gold  Ford Torino when Randy invited me to start going to church. I remember Bro. Adams “playing” ping pong. Bro. Adams’s treated me as his own son, if Randy got in trouble for something so did I and then he loved me like I was his son. He will be missed.
