commonly known as Billy—a man whose life was defined by compassion, strength, and unwavering faith.
Billy was born on September 30th, 1954 in Austin, Texas, to Fern Miller and Orange Roberson. From the very beginning, he carried a spirit that drew people in. He had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen and welcomed—whether through his humor, his kind words, a listening ear, or a warm smile that could light up any room.
Billy attended school in the Austin Independent School District at Anderson high school. Family meant everything to Billy. His presence brought comfort, encouragement, and joy, and to know Billy was to feel uplifted.
On December 14, 2025, Billy Raymond Roberson peacefully passed away at the age of 71, surrounded by family and love. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we also give thanks—for the life he lived, for the love he shared, and for the countless moments we were blessed to experience with him. His legacy does not end here; it lives on in every life he touched.
Billy leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor his memory: his mother, Fern Miller; his siblings, Christi Freeman, Fern Reynolds, and Andrew Roberson; his children, Billy Roberson(9 children), Nelwynne Roland Thomas (2 children), Derrick Roberson(6 children), Kimberly Roberson(3 children), and Ramona Berry(3 children); along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever carry his love in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his father, Orange Roberson, and his siblings, Sharee, Julius, James, Rosie, Oran, and Richard Roberson, whom we trust welcomed him home with open arms.
