Rebecca May Collier Monaghan

Rebecca, age 96, was born July 8, 1908 in Spicewood, TX and passed away October 2, 2004 in Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by parents Calvin J. Collier Sr. and Mary Bathsheba Collier; husband John Owen Monaghan Sr.; daughter Rheta N. Meek; three brothers, K.C. Collier, Wesley Collier and wife Lavonia and Calvin J. Collier Jr.; Grandson Kenneth A. Shields and wife Cindy Jo; and sons-in-law S. P. Downs and R. K. Shields. She is survived by daughter Velma B. Downs; sons John O. Monaghan Jr. and James (Jim) Monaghan and wife Elaine; six grandsons, Tom Downs and wife Denise, Mike Downs and wife Sara, Wesley Shields and wife Deborah, Duane Shields and wife Stacy, Austin Monaghan and wife Mellissa and Michael Monaghan; three granddaughters, Sherry Walsh and husband Tom, Nicole Monaghan and Jennifer Monaghan; 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by son-in-law Neil Meek and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, October 4, 2004 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home with Reverend James Denham officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
