He worked as a Letter Pressman at Hart Graphics/Steck Co. for 41 years until his retirement in 1991. A deacon at Crestview Baptist Church, Dick demonstrated his love for people through daily hospital visits, birthday calls, and hearty handshakes. He loved serving in the church and touched many lives teaching 2nd grade Sunday school for over 40 years. Dick loved music and sang in both Barbershop and church quartets, was a charter member of the Austin Chord Rangers, and was a faithful member of the church choir for many years. He was also active in community service by coaching Little League Baseball and working the polls. His favorite pastime was playing dominos, cribbage and cards.
