Rick Beltz

Rick was born on September 12, 1962, in Hartford City, Indiana. His childhood took him to Woodbury, Minnesota. Growing up he enjoyed camping with his family and playing on an ice hockey team. He graduated from Woodbury High School in 1980, and graduated from the St. Paul Institute of Technology two years later. Shortly after, Rick moved to Austin, TX. He started work at the Texas Water Commission in 1991. Rick and Melissa married in 1991. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, including Melissa’s two previous children Erin and Michael. Life in Austin and later Pflugerville consisted of boating, snow and water skiing, and he had a passion for working on cars and computers.

Rick was preceded in death by his dad Robert Beltz. He leaves behind his loving wife Melissa Harrison Beltz; three children, Ricky Beltz, Erin Terry, and Michael Clarkson; parents Irene and Bob Westlock of Tyler, TX; sisters Peggy Williams and Beth Bently, and brother Jon Beltz and five grandchildren.

A memorial celebrating Rick’s life and memory will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 511 E. Pflugerville Pkwy, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
