Our precious Riley Jane Clark passed on from this world to the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Leaving her fragile body behind, she is now completely whole and with her Lord. She was born December 7, 2001 in Austin, Texas. Her radiant smile brought us 10 years of joy. We are forever changed because of Riley Jane's presence in our lives. She taught us to love, to smile, to slow down and to appreciate simply "being."
She loved her family, music, swinging, riding in the boat, snuggling with Mommy, giving kisses, being tickled by her brothers, and watching golf with Daddy.
We are grateful to the countless caretakers, nurses, doctors, therapist and teachers who helped her excel to her fullest. For seven years, Riley Jane attended Rosedale School (AISD's school for medically fragile children with disabilities), which she loved. Joni and Friends Family Retreat was a favorite family event for the last six summers. She was a member of the Pathways Special Needs Sunday school class at First Evangelical Free Church. During her short life, our family has great memories of traveling to Florida, Arkansas and discovering West Texas together.
Riley Jane is survived by her parents, Taylor and Gayle Clark of Austin, her brothers, Ryan and Cole Clark of Austin; her grandparents, Tom and Freddie Clark of Punta Gorda, Florida, Bill and Sandra Greenwood of Little Rock, Arkansas and Barbara and Marvin Blaes of Little Rock, Arkansas. She has many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins in Dallas, Arkansas, Colorado and Florida.
A memorial service will be celebrated Monday, March 12, 2:00 pm at First Evangelical Free Church, 4220 Monterrey Oaks Blvd, Austin, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rosedale Foundation, 614 W. 31 1/2 St., Austin, TX, 78705, which supports Riley Jane's school. http://rosedaleride.blogspot.com/p/foundation.html
