Bob was born in Camden, New Jersey on August 29, 1934 to William and Doris Graham. He was uniquely gifted and talented. He was a star scholar and athlete earning a football scholarship and bachelor's degree from Delaware University. He married his high school sweetheart Elaine on June 30, 1956 and they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. He served our country honorably at Lackland Air Force base, San Antonio. He then developed a storied career in the lighting industry as a leader and sales executive. He had the passion, aim and fortitude that few possess and preached to any who would listen, to always be nothing less than your very best. He most enjoyed writing and public speaking and was a creative, witty and gifted motivator. At home he enjoyed coaching and watching his children excel at sports. He said he was not a sports fan, but a sports fanatic.
Bob was predeceased by his son Paul Mitchell, and his lifetime partner and wife Elaine. Survived by his four children Bob and his wife Patti, Bill and his wife Melinda, Greg and his wife Debbie, Dawn and her husband Jim, grandchildren Dee Dee, Bobby and his wife Sarah, Kelly and her husband Britt, Michael, Lori, Amy, Greg, Grant, Katilyn, and Koby and his seven great grandchildren Blake, Ellie, Campbell, Graham and Tatum Peterson, Avery, Tanner and Emerson Graham, and Ella McHargue.
A special note of thanks is extended to the amazing caregivers at Silverado Bee Caves Memory Care. We were all so blessed by the incredible love and care given to him by his new family that became such a special part of his life.
