Robert "Drew" Andrew Small

Robert Andrew “Drew” Small passed away suddenly on November 27, 2020. He went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ at the age of 48 years. Drew was born in Fort Worth, Texas on September 6, 1972. After graduating from high school, Drew served our country in the Army. Drew joined the Travis County Sheriff’s Office in December of 1995, starting in dispatch. He served as a corrections officer for several years before becoming a Deputy in 2006. Drew worked the night shift on patrol in western Travis County for over a decade before moving to the Motors Unit in December 2018. Drew’s passions included Motorcycles, his BBQ Team, Hiking, Archery, and he had an extensive knowledge of guns. Above all, the most important thing to Drew was the time spent with his friends and family whenever he could.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Small; his sisters Raylene Neely, Billy Jean Meredith and his brother Raymond Meredith Jr., his Grandparents Col. J.T. Ellis and wife Ruth, Florence Ellis, Joe and Elizabeth Small.

Drew is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Dawn Small.

He is lovingly remembered by his father and mother, Raymond and Kathie Meredith. His father-in-law and mother-in-law Lewis and Cheryl Eckenrode. His two sons; Garrett and Justin Small, brother- John Maverick, sister- Misty Meredith, nieces- Lauren Bailey, Madison Payne, Azaley Meredith, Presley Meredith, Harley Haitermann, Taryn Tyler, Abigayle Tyler, Kristin Eckenrode, Leah Hester, Miriam Fanwie, Tiffany Meredith, Erika Perkins and Kaylee Sanders. nephews- Nicholas Bailey, Nathan Payne, Rick Lopez, Christian Tyler, Toby Ollis, Micheal Ignasiak and Jason Ignasiak. He is also survived by his loving Louisiana and Iowa family and many more family and friends who loved him so very much.
