Robert was born on October 30, 1962, to Percy Wentworth, Jr. and the late Irma Wentworth, on Staten Island. He graduated from Wagner College in 1984 with a BS in Biology and went on to earn a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, at the Philadelphia College of Podiatric Medicine in 1989. He was an intelligent and compassionate physician, creating lasting bonds with many of his patients. His knowledge in medicine extended well beyond podiatry and was always a willing tutor to his son through his time in pharmacy school. Robert was a gifted guitarist, with knowledge and appreciation for music of all genres. One piece we enjoyed hearing him play was “Little Martha”, by the Allman Brothers Band. He was an avid reader, enjoyed watercolor painting, fishing, cooking, kite-flying at the beach, bowling, crushing you in a game of Monopoly, family picnics at Monmouth Park, and trips to Atlantic City.
Robert is survived by his ex-wife of 31 years, Carole, and two children, Robert Michael Wentworth, Pharm. D. (Cecilia), and Kimberly Irma Wentworth; his father Percy Wentworth, brother Frank Wentworth, sister-in-laws Barbara (Frank), Doreen (Spuddy), sister Nancy Kelly, and Aunt Nancy Baxter. He has several loving nieces and nephews; Kelly Penny (Justin), Kaitlyn Banach (Christopher), Robert David Kelly, Jennifer Anne Dadisman (Jim), and many other loving family members and friends. Robert was predeceased by his beloved mother, Irma Wentworth, and brother, John “Spuddy” Wentworth.
“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” May your soul rest easy now, Rob.
