Robert E. Wilder

Robert E. “Bobby” Wilder, age 60, of Austin passed away on December 21, 2007. He was born May 28, 1947 in Austin to John L. “Jack” and Elizabeth Wilder. Bobby retired from the City of Austin Electric Utility Company, with 25 years of service. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Velocity Credit Union (formerly Austin Municipal Federal Credit Union). Bobby was a very caring and devoted husband, son, brother, father and grandfather. He leaves behind many priceless memories for his family and friends to cherish. Memories of his zest for life and the enjoyment he got from making other people find that same joy and enthusiasm in life. This truly remarkable man will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Wilder; his mother, Elizabeth Wilder; brother, John Bill Wilder and wife Donna; sister, Diane Hale and husband Eric; his children: son, Chris Wilder (Kelli) of Lago Vista, daughters, Dana Noska (Ricky) of Leander and Kara Wildenhaus (Terry) of Round Rock, stepsons, Jon Handy (Robyn) of Colorado Springs and Jason Handy (Jill) of College Station. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Benjamin and Madison Wilder, Zachary and Kylie Noska, Ava and Grace Wildenhaus, Jacqueline, Jocelyn and Lauren Handy, and Noel, Dylan, Bryghton and Harrison Jarnagin; his nephews, Greg Holliday (Kim) and John Holliday (Candice); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bobby was preceded in death by his father; his sister, Betty Virginia Wilder and stepdaughter, Jennifer Jarnagin. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23rd at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home followed by services at 3:00 p.m. in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will be at Austin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 149100, Austin, TX 78714.
