Roberta Bobbie Fitzgerald Roberta Bobbie Fitzgerald passed away Friday, February 25, 2005. She was born on August 7, 1924 in Topeka, Kansas, she was the daughter of Roberta and Frank Winkler. Bobbie was preceded in death by her daughter Robin and her husband of over 50 years, William Fitz Fitzgerald. A long-time resident of Austin, she was a Seton Hospital volunteer for many years, a girl scout leader, and a member of Alpha Phi sorority. She will be remembered for her deep concern and care for her family, friends, and others, and especially for her great sense of humor. Her son Rick remembers she was a dare-devil, a go-getter and a tomboy in her youth. Bobbie is survived by her son Rick Fitzgerald of Austin; her sisters Virginia McHugh of Maryland and Janet Wheeler of San Antonio, and by other family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at The Summit at Westlake and Hospice Austin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home.
