

Rosaleo was born on August 30, 1921 the only son of the late Santos Arevalo and Crecensia Sanchez (Alba) in the area that was called El Rincon in Austin Texas, was called to heaven on October 22, 2016 at the age of 95.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Benita (Betty) Rodriguez Arevalo; brother, Tony Alba; sister, Mary Alba Moya; daughter, Rosa Aldaco; and several grandchildren.
Rosaleo is survived by his children, Pete Arevalo, Mary Louise Salazar, Rosaleo Charlie Arevalo, Jr., Esther Hernandez, Ralph Arevalo, Mary Esther Salas, Elizabeth Gil, Ruth Maldonado and Rosanna Arevalo; 46 grandchildren; 108 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren.
Rosaleo served in the United States Marine Corp during War World II, the Asia Pacific era and received three Purple Heart during his tour of duty. He was the founder of Arevalo Produce for more than 60 years hauling produce from the Rio Grande Valley, Central Texas, North Texas, Colorado, Missouri and other various area. He followed the season of the Fruits and Vegetables and what was in demand. His favorite hobby was playing Dominos with his friends and especially with his grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Shady Hollow Assistant Living Home where he lived for the past 12 years under the wonderful care of the staff, Jackie (Lani) De Castro, Marife Deoferio and Bobby Torres.
Pallbearers will be Albert Arevalo, Manuel Saldana, Santiago Maldonado, Efren Gil, Elias Gil, Ralph Michael Ortega. Honorary Pallbearer Antonio Ortega III.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Ave, Austin, Texas with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
