The energy that Rosanne and Laurence radiated, has always been so motivating to me. I remember once telling Laurence that "Shaklee" was too expensive for me, and then thinking about how he plays tennis and cycles in marathons and how Rosanne was always there supporting him. She was beyond amazing! Rosanne and I originally met at one of his conferences. I also remember sitting with Rosanne and having the sweetest conversation at the opening of Laurence’s film, "Fierce Love and Art."  Her enthusiasm, excitement and concern over his efforts and successes shone through so “fiercely”.  Also memorable during that trip was a  pastry shop that Rosanne treated me to.  THE BEST PASTRY EVER!! Rosanne and Laurence have been mentors to whom I attribute the start of my journey from a Road Less Travelled in autism, to a path in “Art and Autism” .

Wayne & I are thinking of Rosanne today.  Wayne had pulled some pictures of Rosanne at about age 10, pulling toddler Wayne around in a wagon at their grandparents’ house.  Wayne had planned to give them to Rosanne.  Maybe if Laura or Amy would like them, just let Wayne know.  Our thoughts & prayers are with you.  Eileen

Having known Rosanne since 1978, thru Laurence and John’s friendship, forged in the graduate program they both attended, in what was then known as the Union for Experimenting Colleges and Universities---it is my privilege to call her “friend.” We shared visits and interests between their trips to Chicago and ours to Texas thru the years. These gatherings were always memorable, but an outstanding memory was in 1995, just after John and I had moved to Machias Maine near a property Rosanne and Laurence owned in Bucks Harbor Maine. After an exhilarating week of a group gathering with Bill Coperthwaite, of Yurt Foundation fame, to build a yurt on the Becker’s ocean front property. On the day they left, Rosanne presented me with 4 Brazilian Butterfly cones. Once planted they flourished, and that small gift, divided and shared, has brought so much joy to ours and the home gardens of many family and friends, where they are still blooming today.
So it is with great sadness we share among us the news of her death and we all say good by --- but her grace and sincere devoted love to family and friends, all “planted” in our lives years ago, will continue to flourish.
Bless her memory, held by all that had the privilege to have shared some part of her extraordinary life. May Rosanne have peace and joy eternal. Melanie Dennis

My friendship with Rosanne and Laurence goes back many decades... to when our children were very young. I cherish all those memories. I want to share a favorite poem composed by Ruth Bebermeyer. I trust it will warm the hearts of all who have received the grace of Rosanne's loving heart.

Although I had few encounters with Rosanne, she made a significant impression. Her soft and pleasant demeanor quickly revealed her kind soul. She is one of those human beings that you know in the first few minuites after meeting, all that she does and says comes from a  loving heart. I immediately understood how and where my friend Amy, got her loving soul. The blessing in this time of sorrow is that Rosanne's gift will live on in her desendants heart's and souls forever.

I am saddened by the news of Rosanne’s passing.  We worked together in the early 1980’s at a bank in downtown Austin.  She was a sweet lady who always had a kind word to say and she treated everyone with the same degree of respect. Her work ethic and meticulous attention to detail prompted the Trust Department to request her transfer to a position they created specifically for her.  Rosanne cherished motherhood and whenever she shared stories of of her children there was an added sparkle in her eyes.  
My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to Laurence and family.

I remember Roseanne coming to  our house and helping me with my college catalogue   I was having a difficult time understanding the curriculum for my major. Roseanne was so patient and sweet during the stressful time for me . Roseanne was always  a gentle person to be with. I last saw Roseanne at Sara's wedding  and she was smiling and so happy to be there. Rest in Peace Roseanne .
