
5yrs ago today Tata you left this place and left us. Now each time I look for you
You suddenly aren't there
We didn't see this coming
And we didnt have time to say goodbye
Tata, I wasn't ready 
 We all knew one day we would live without yall but not so soon and not so quickly.
It sucks to no longer feel your arms around me tightly when I cry
Or be able to kiss you softly or wave to you goodbye. See you later turned into one day we will reunite in heaven. I never thought I'd live life without you Tata. 
But God's special angels have been sent to carry you away and he had different plans for you that I won't ever understand.
I just hope you're watching over us the way you used to do.
It really is the only way  I  get through my days. Yes our tears and hurt consume us as we lost you in our lives.
We have such happy memories behind these bloodshot eyes

There'll never be another quite as loved as you. You said that you were the North Star to guide us home and mama was the moon to light the way. Well every night for the past 5yrs I've said goodnight to you as I find the north star in the sky.

Â Without any warning or giving a kiss goodbye we lost you Tata. Without you in my lifeÂ things have never been the same.Â Their are Â days I hear your voiceÂ and turn to see if UR there but as I'mÂ Â turning my head to look for u Tata it feels as ifÂ the sound has been erased. The pain of coming home and not seeing you, the pain I see in Jessica, pewee n her family and Mama Â puts a weight on my heart. I feel like I can't make it on some days like I should let go. Others I keep busy and not think about it. It's a year now and I never really let go in fear that I won't come back. I miss u Tata, I miss our random conversations, I miss UR laugh, UR voice and UR bear hugs... I feel like I'm failing chasing a dream.. That the more I fight the worse I make it. Miss the one on one time when we would talk no BS but just talk. I don't know if I'm going to fail Â but I'm trying really hard Tata I am. I need ur help to keep my mind clear cuz missing you is one of the difficult things I had to do in my life.. But most of all is to see u at Ft. Sam but not able to huge u or hear UR voice is the worst.. I know you're watching over us Tata.. Today I'll be going to see you but not the way I want to but until that day it will do.

Well Yesterday Was our 36th Anniversary, went to our first time We met place. Champane and strawberries to start off the meal,then steak and ending it with cheese cake and coffee.Like Aways Had a Great time, You were the only one missing.!!! .I LOVE YOU RUBEN Happy Anniversary.



Not a day passes by Tata that I don't miss you! Every thing reminds me of you. I turn around looking at the places you would sit and now it's empty not touched. I still  can't believe you're not here with us laughing or reading you're news paper, taking a drink of you're coffee. I know we will be okay Tata but the pain of missing you is what will take time. I find myself talking to you like you're still here. I guess I just comfort myself hoping you will answer back and this was all a very bad Dream. I'm trying Tata and you know what about. I'm going to do my damn best to make you proud and move forward in this life.
Tell Mommy and Daddy I miss them too. Bye Tata this is me giving you the biggest HUG AND KISS to last you for eternity....Till God lets us meet again I will always Love U...

We always knew one day we would die,but we thought it would happen when we were in our80sor90s yrs old. We had plans,dreams,the future was in our hands.It gave us hope,joy,&laughter.We felt like newlyweds again,After 35yrs.of marriage.I know God had his plans also,I have no complaints.God needed you more in Heaven.And thats alright by me.Ijust thought we would havemore timefor morelaughter,joy,love with you.Wasn't expecting tears for you,theres so much pain in my heart,it so hard to say googbye.Here I am now everythings about to change.I know I have to face tomorrow,we get out of bed,get ready for yesterday and yet we don't want to say goodbye.My Chapter ended with you in it.Next Chapter will be only me.Everyone's waiting to begin I know I have to move on.Just remember I Love You,I have to let you go, but not ever from my memories,there was too much love,laughter,joy,and bad times,but the good in our lives kind of makes up for the bad,not so bad!!  I'm so thankful for the time we had together,so glad that I got to know ya,the time that we shared I'm holding all of this very close to my heart.Imissyou,your presence everyday.You will not ever fade away from me until we meet again someday.We might be apart but,always know you'll be with me where ever I go.We will have each other to lean on. I can't say that Ruben was like a father to me because in reality he was so much more than that. His loss is devastating to my self and to my family. Not only  beause he is gone but because of what he means to us as well. It has taken me a while to get the courage to write something here because I just don't want to believe he's gone. I sit here now  reminiscing about the past and it makes my heart ache because those memories now have to last a lifetime. Ruben was such a great man and I'm not sure there are any more out there like him. He was truely one of a kind. Any time he laughed you couldn't help but laugh too, his laugh was contagious. My father-in-law just loved life and he was so full of happiness that it just overflowed onto whomever was around. I miss him so much already but I know that one day our whole family will be together again and in knowing that it comforts me. Thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers and condolences. I remember our times in Corpus together, when we went to the movies, the boy scouts, when we use to hang around just drinking a coke/water and just laughing it up, these are the times I remember the smile you always had a smile on your face no matter what you went thru good times and bad you Always had a SMILE, I sorry that I never kept in touch with you, this I will regret the rest of my life, but always remember that I have you and will keep you in my heart and my fond memories.  I know now that you are in a far better place with your mom, my mom/brother and your uncle. I can not find the words to express the gratitude our family had for Ruben and his family for the greatest gift he gave us! to have the ability to extend the life of another even if for a moment, my only wish is that we could do the same for the family he left behind! my heart weeps for you and will keep you in prayer that you will find peace someday.

Words can never express how one feels when losing someone you love. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ruben's wife and his family in this time of loss. I know that Ruben is in a better place and with my Tia Mana who will take care of him from here on out. Here I am writing my thoughts, about a great cousin I had and will always remember as a happy go lucky guy. I am pleased to reminse about our days in Corpus Christi, where we use to just be so happy and not think about our future, it was all just the thing-about having fun. Words will never pay him for what he did when we needed he the most, he gave my brother a second chance. Thou we and he made every attempt to make him well it was in God's hands. Even thou we lost our brother we still had a great cousin and I mean a wonderful man that I know would do anything to help anyone in time of need. I have always missed him, and now my thought and prayers are with him. I am sure that he is in a better place, God needed an angel and saw it in him. Thou it broke our hearts he has left this world to be by his mother side and that she will care for him like a mothers always will. I would also like to express my deepest sympathy to his wife and children may God Bless you and keep you all at his side. Even thou we lost a great man we will always have beautiful memories we can all cherish,the ones he left us. God Bless all of his family.
