Russ was a Master Sargent USAF Retired with 20 years of service and also was a Vietnam Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife Cindy Purcell; his children Chris Purcell and family; Karen Purcell and family; Marianna Purcell Bush and family, Brian Connor and family and his sisters Ann Taylor and family and Lavon Hobbs and family.
A memorial service for Russ will be held at ten o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd. Austin, Texas 78752.
