Mrs. Stephens resided in Lubbock, TX from 1952 until this past January. She worked as an LVN at West Texas Hospital for 22 years and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church from 1952 until its dissolution in 2007. She was active in cub scouts and taught quilting for many years at Trinity Baptist and First Baptist churches.
She is survived by her son, David Stephens, her grandson, Michael Stephens, her great-grandson, Bobby Stephens and her nephew, John Frederick. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Frederick, her mother, Nora Frederick and her brother, Henry Frederick.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, October 15th at Austin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in her name be given to Lubbock Meals on Wheels.
