Sadie Domenica "Sophie" DeLeon, passed away on August 6, 2009. She was born October 11, 1927 in Sandusky, Ohio. Sadie was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Jose "Joe" DeLeon; daughter Charlotte Masters; four brothers; and one sister. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Jessica Bilson; an "adopted" daughter Lupe Preston; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. After moving to Austin in 1979 Sadie found her passion being a caretaker at a ranch near Austin. The family extends gratitude to Dr. Pete Garcia for his care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel North. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
