Sara Villanueva Loera

Sara was born May 29, 1947 in Llano, Texas to Albert Villanueva Sr. and Consolacion “Sally” Campos Villanueva. She was the oldest daughter and second oldest of 5 children. She met her soulmate, Trinidad Loera Jr. in 1963 and married on Valentine’s Day in 1964, and from this union they had 3 daughters.

Sara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Trinidad Loera Jr.; parents, Albert Villanueva Sr. and Consolacion “Sally” Villanueva; in-laws, Trinidad Loera Sr., Anita Barron, and Felipe Herrera; daughter, Yvette Loera; and brothers, Ernest Villanueva and Luis Villanueva.

Sara is survived by her daughters, Yvonne Loera, Angela and husband, Mark Gruell; sister, Estella Morales; brother, Albert Villanueva Jr.; and grandchildren, Joshua, Jasmine, and Zachary Gruell, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation for Sara will be held Monday, September 29, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. A recitation of the holy rosary will occur Monday, September 29, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Haynie Chapel United Methodist Church, 16309 Greenwood Dr, Garfield, TX 78617. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at Haynie Chapel Cemetery, 16309 Greenwood Dr, Garfield, TX 78617.
