Sascha was born on July 18th, 1931 in Berlin, Germany to her parents, Gerhardt and Meta Garitz. Having survived World War II as a child, Sascha worked as a young woman in the German industrial sector helping to rebuild Berlin. On February 12th, 1955, she married the love of her life, Bernard Everett Sell, who was a soldier in the United States Army stationed in Berlin. They moved many times from assignment to assignment and traveled extensively during Bernard’s military career. Upon Bernard’s retirement from the Army they settled in El Paso, Texas, where they lived for many years. In 1994 Sascha and Bernard moved to Cedar Park, Texas, to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren.
Sascha was a vibrant, energetic person who loved to travel and experience new adventures. She was a loving wife and mother whose passion was her family. Nothing made her happier than giving to those she loved, especially her grand-children and great-grand children whom she cherished with all her heart.
Sascha is survived by her daughters Karen, Jeanne, and Rosi; sons-in-law Fred and Russ; grandchildren Erica, Cory, Bill, Natasha and Noelle, and Cody; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; her sisters, Irma and Gerta; and her brother Klaus.
A private ceremony will be held at Cook-Walden Chapel of The Hills on June 17, 2017, at 9:00 a.m.
