Scott Dardnne of Austin passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 26, 2015. Scott was born in Austin, Texas to Jim and Beth Dardnne. He attended Austin public schools, graduating from Anderson High School in 2008. He then attended Louisiana State University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. After graduating with a BS in Business from LSU in 2013, Scott returned to Austin and was currently employed at Dell Computer.
Scott will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a loving son, devoted brother, and an outgoing and loyal friend. Scott had bright blue eyes, an engaging smile, and a vigorous intellect. He was a good athlete and loved sports of all kinds. In sports and all things competitive Scott excelled, but was somewhat nonchalant about his contribution to winning. He was modest and unassuming, but a great guy to have with you in a competition of any kind. And, when you told him how valuable he was to the team's achievement, he ducked his head and smiled, like you were kidding him or something. As a coach, you were thrilled to get Scott on to your team because he could play any position and play it well. As a youth, he participated in baseball, swimming, basketball and lacrosse. He played both football and Varsity lacrosse for Anderson High School. Of course, Scott was an avid LSU Tigers fan.
Scott was deeply loved and treasured by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beth Schultz Dardnne, in 2007. He is survived by his father, Jim Dardnne of Austin, his older brother Mike Dardnne of Houston, his aunt Sally Schultz Bledsoe and husband Johnny of Waco, his cousins Taylor Bledsoe and wife Jordan of Waco, Ginny Bledsoe Martin and husband Xerxes of Dallas, and Mel Thurman and wife Suzanne of Waco.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
