Dear little brother, 
     Close to 2 decades and not a day has gone by that memories of you neglect to plague my mind, heart and soul. The first time we met was in the middle of my 5th birthday party; Spencer snuck me out of the crowd, into the house to show me a “special birthday present,” a new baby brother. You were never only my gift; you were a gift to the world from God.
So many memories; helping you learn how to walk, how to talk, how to draw, how to hug trees and climb as high as we could. Teaching you how to ride a bike, fill water balloons, playing chess with you (until you beat me in less than 5 moves EVERY TIME.) Was so fun teaching you how to ride my bike, too big for you, in the Odom parking lot. Catching you secretly  listening to rap music and getting to tell you, convince you there was no reason to hide your passions. You asked me to teach you how to dance in the living room because your friends could do it…and you wanted to, too. We danced for years, and you never stepped on my toes, but when you got bigger than me, you let me stand on your feet. You became my best advocate, standing up for me when no one would. You were such a wonderful uncle for Alex; teaching him how to walk, how to draw, how to climb trees, taking him to the park. I wish you’d had time to do the same with your own son. 
 Sitting in the stands at your football games made the whole world disappear; it was all about the team and the game for you;  was not about to let you give up after you broke your hand during practice. It was hard, but you got it up one more time, and came back for that senior year. Seeing you graduate, when you offered to drive the get away car so I could escape my wedding lol, omg and so much more, too much more… 
You were right, the night you called me saying, “I don’t know what I would do without you in this world,” you knew I would be stuck without you, too, and I am. I will be but, until we meet again, we have happy trails to remember.

I met Skye in junior high almost like 30 years ago . I didn't even know he passed until I looked him up. We lost touch after high school sad to hear him passed after having a son. He was a great guy miss him alot. We definitely respected each other on the football field. We also had all classes together. Wish I could have reached out to him sooner but I'm off all social media. Wish your son knows how cool/awesome his dad was. Not a greater person/spirit I have ever known. He loved life and his family as well as football. He was great at it too. Miss you bro. 


I never me you but Sonnet told me about you.youre always in her heart in that special place made for you.not a day goes by that she doesn't miss,love,and need you....her soul mate,moon,stars,her everything..someday you will meet again..for eternity,everlasting love.



Thanks to all of Skye's friends, classmates, co-workers & relatives for your kind words of condolence. It means so much to our family to know how special Skye is to all of you. He was such a unique person, so many little things remind me of him & of his comfortable humor. He loved each person in his life very strongly, cared deeply for all people & animals.. & was also quite an original artist. I miss my baby brother. I love you so much!!



I met Skye in 1994 and played football with him at Crockett. We hung out on several occasions and I have some of my best memories of high school due to Skye. He will be missed..



Skye was a true friend.  I was manager for the Crockett High School football team.  I cheered him on during the games and he cheered me on during the pep rallies.  He helped me when I was at my lowest and encouraged me to keep going on.  Though I lost contact, deep down I know he's still cheering me on.  Skye is a true friend and I am better for knowing him.  My deepest condolences to his family and friends.  



I am sooo sad to hear that my Skye passed. I can not believe it. I met Skye in 1995 when I attended Crocket as an excheange student from Brazil. He was my boyfriend for that year and the best friend I could ask for. Sweet man, I am sad to hear you are not here anymore. My thought, love and prayers to your family, I am so sorry. I am deeply sorry to hear about Skye.  I knew him as a very little boy when I taught his sister, Sativa, at Del Valle High School.  He was a sweet and delightful little boy.  I still remember that after seeing the film Amadeus he asked his father if Mozart were dead and when he was told he was dead, asked "Can I have his music?"  He WILL indeed be missed.



I will miss Skye. I loved him. We were all touched by him and lucky for the time we shared with him. Wish I could've seen him one more time. My prayers and feelings are with you.

In the time we attended Crockett High School, Skye was a great friend and a constant joy.  He is a great soul and he will be missed dearly.  Although we have lost touch since graduation I will always have nothing but happy memories of him.  I hope that his son will always know what a terrific friend and I am sure father he was. My relationship with Skye began four years ago. It was inspirational to witness him mature into a loving father. He was a true friend and I miss him deeply.



When I first moved to Austin I met him and immediately we became friends. Skye was the type of person that could open his door to a stranger and always make them feel welcome. Everyone who knew him, however brief or long, called Skye their friend.



Skye was a true friend and just a wonderful person, everyone who knew him loved him and he will be remembered and missed deeply by the many people whose lives he touched during his time here. Our thoughts, love, and prayers are with his family.



I have only known Skye for the 3 short months he lived here at Willowbrook. He stuck me as very responsible for his young age. I was deeply hurt by his unexpected death and will miss him. My prayers go out to his family and friends. May you find strength in Gods love as you search for answers to this tragedy.
