Stanley Karl Hunt of North Wales, PA died on Monday, 23 February 2026, at the age of 59. He was born on 29 August 1966 in Wichita Falls, TX where he spent the first six years of his life, but he grew up in Austin, Texas. He graduated from John H. Reagan High School. Stanley came to faith in Christ early in life and was an active member of Allandale Baptist Church. As a teenager, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scout Troop 88.
Stanley attended Tarleton State University, where he majored in both Chemistry and Physics. He graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He earned his Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from The College of Financial Planning in 2017.
Although Stanley began his career in Pharmaceutical Sales, working at Abbott Labs, Allergan and Merck, his true calling was as a Certified Financial Planner. He was an investment advisor with Smith Barney and Legg Mason before joining Woodwell Asset Management as Vice President. He really thrived on helping clients achieve their financial goals.
Perhaps his highest achievement and lasting contribution was the creation of the Empowering Bright Futures Foundation. Through his bequest, future generations of hard-working underprivileged students will have the opportunity to attend college.
Stanley was an outdoor enthusiast with an insatiable appetite for adventure – he loved hiking, running, cycling, camping, whitewater rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, and hunting. One of his greatest adventures was walking in the footsteps of our Lord in the Holy Land.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Zelma Hunt and his nephew, 2Lt Andrew J. Hunt, US Army.
He is survived by his Father, Franklin, Sr., brothers Kurt and Franklin, Jr. and his wife Donna, as well as his nephew Major Kyle Hunt, US Army, wife Stephanie and children.
