

Cynthia Sue (Schroeder) Whittemore, of Cedar Park, Texas—wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother and friend—left this earth on the 4th of January 2013. Sue was born on the 8th of August 1947 in Decatur, Texas to Ted and Wilding Schroeder. She was retired from TASB as a Workers’ Compensation Insurance Adjuster and was a successful Mary Kay Consultant for more than 23 years. Sue also had the amazing talent of painting beautiful ceramics and each Christmas painted new ornaments for her family to celebrate her favorite season of the year and to spread the joy she brought to so many. Sue was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austin.
Sue was preceded in death by her son, Stan Whittemore and her parents, Ted and Wilding Schroeder.
Sue is survived by her husband, Joe Whittemore of Cedar Park; her daughter, Stacy Wilber and her husband, Wayne, of Hamshire; her sister, Carol Ann Ward; her brother, Paul Schroeder and his wife, Renita; grandchildren, Kacy Murphy and her husband, Trey, Kelsey Wilber, Kaitlin Whittemore, Kara Whittemore and Kyle Whittemore; great-grandchildren, Zander Stone and George Murphy, IV; many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, as well as her two godchildren.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Texas Oncology-Round Rock, Dr. Thomas Blevins and the staff of Austin Hospice.
Friends and family are cordially invited to a visitation from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Sunday, the 6th of January 2012, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A funeral service will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 7th of January, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 West Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, the 8th of January, in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City, Texas under the direction of Owens Funeral Home, Wolfe City, Texas.
