

Tammy Lynn Campbell Tammy Lynn Campbell passed away peacefully on April 3, 2012 surrounded by her friends and mother, Ida Scaffe. Born on July 12, 1966, Tammy grew up in Ft. Myers, Florida. She attended Ft. Myers High School, Edison Junior College and graduated from the University of South Florida with a BS in Elementary Education.
She spent the first part of her teaching career in the Lee County School District and moved to Austin TX in 1999. Tammy loved Austin and was very proud to call herself a Texan. She spent the last eleven years teaching at Barton Creek Elementary in Eanes ISD. She was a passionate and dedicated elementary teacher who touched the lives of countless children over her 24 year career. Her students describe her as "always happy and funny," "the best teacher in the world" and "our best friend." Tammy lived her life with joy, happiness and an enthusiasm that was contagious. She never met a stranger and was the first person to offer support and encouragement to her friends and family. Tammy adored all dogs and her "fur babies" were the light of her life. She will be missed by so many.
She was preceded in death by her much beloved grandmother Gladys Poff and her maternal grandmother Madaline Kimmel.
A celebration of Tammy's life will be held at Barton Creek Elementary on Sunday, April 15th at 2:00. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Austin German Shepherd Rescue.
