Our beloved mother, Tammy Denise Scott, 61, of Austin, passed away surrounded by her family and close friends on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Tammy was born November 4, 1964, in Austin, Texas to William and Joyce Scott.
Tammy is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Ann Scott.
Tammy is survived by her father William Lee Scott, by her children, Aaron Scott and Karon Scott, and her husband Emmanuel Obi. She is also survived by her sister Rachial Scott, and her brothers Harrell Scott and Darrell Scott. She will be missed by countless relatives, friends, and coworkers who have had the pleasure of meeting her in life.
Known for her effervescent, joyous, sarcastic, fierce, and loving look at life and how she treated people, Tammy devoted her life to her family, her faith, raising her two children with love and patience while cruising the world’s oceans. Tammy’s passing will be a hole that no one will ever be able to fill and we ask that she be remembered for her love, her laugh, and her joy which touched us all.
