Teresa was a student at Allan Junior High in Austin, Texas, but she left to help her family take care of her siblings while they worked. Later, while she was living in Los Angeles, California, Teresa worked at the County Clerk’s House and owned her own jewelry business. She then settled in Austin, Texas where she completed her GED and Child Care certificate at Austin Community College and was the owner of Teresa’s Day Care.
Teresa’s hobbies included floral arranging, interior decorating, dancing and cooking for her family. She especially loved salsa and merengue dancing.
Teresa is survived by her 8 children, and 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Friends are welcome to attend the memorial service that will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Burial of ashes will follow the memorial service at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
