

Born on December 17, 1953, in Washington, DC, Theodore proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his military service, he dedicated more than 30 years to the Austin Independent School District as a school bus driver, ensuring the safety and well-being of countless students over the decades.
"Mr. Ted" as he was often called, was known for his steady kindness, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a beloved father, son, uncle, and brother whose presence brought joy and comfort to all who knew him. His love for his family and his commitment to service will be remembered always.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Leftwich; his siblings, Alice J. Leftwich, Deborah (James McCormick), Anthony Leftwich, Danny Leftwich, Ernest Leftwich, and Terry Leftwich; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Yong Son Leftwich; his parents, Alice and Theodore Leftwich, Sr.; and siblings Kenneth Leftwich, Paula Leftwich, and Theodora Anthony.
A memorial service will be held on a later date.. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a veterans’ organization, or AISD.
