Theresa Lynn Hernandez

Theresa worked for Cash America Pawn as a customer service representative and then as an assistant manager for several years. She worked at IBM as an administrative assistant for several clients throughout the country, from her location in Austin, Texas.

She was a loving, giving, and caring individual; with a great, quick sense of humor. Within her caring and giving traits, she sought out to make those around her more comfortable in environment whether it was hospitality or making everyone laugh. Her smile and laugh were very contagious and spread quickly.

Theresa carried a special place in her heart for her children, grandchildren, and most of all, her husband, Benjamin. She was also very compassionate towards animals; she wanted to rescue and adopt animals in need of a home.

She was a collector by nature; her favorite collections were photographs and memorabilia of her loved ones. She had an eraser collection she started when she was in grade school; the erasers still, have never been used.

Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Claude Davis Carle.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Hernandez of Austin, Texas, mother Marjorie Elizabeth Carle of Sun City, Arizona, her daughter Lindsey Renee Day Adams along with her husband Reggie Adams and their children, Michael Redding, Summer Day, and Mia Adams of Hallettesville, Texas, her sons Rustin & Ryan Behl of Fort Worth, Texas, her sister Cianne Landis of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, her grandfather William H. Forehand, her Uncle John W. Forehand of Sun City, Arizona, her Aunt Faye V. Vanderveer of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is survived by Benjamin’s family: father and mother in law, Marcos and Rachel Hernandez in Austin, Texas, her sister in law Marivel Hernandez in Austin, Texas, and her brother in law – Mark-Anthony Hernandez in Austin, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

Honoring Theresa as pallbearers will be Reggie Adams, Mark Anthony Hernandez, Bobby Eckler, Patrick Lynn, Richard Ortegon, Jr. and Javier Montoya II.

All of us, including her cats, will miss her dearly.
