

Tom Robert Walton Tom Robert Walton, died March 16, 2005, at Seton Hospital, at the age of 74. He was born in The Grove, Texas on June 5, 1930 to Tom Brackenridge Walton and Della Evans Walton. He graduated from Moody High School in 1948. He attended Nixon Clay Business College while working at Southwestern Bell. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and the European Theater. After returning to Austin, he worked for Southwestern Bell for 32 years. A longtime West Lake Hills resident, he owned and operated Waltons Florist and Nursery from 1969 to 2001. Tom and Peggy met in 1949, married in 1954 and celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on September 18, 2004. Tom was preceded in death by his sisters, Elaine Sharp and Wanda Naler. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Robertson Walton; daughter, Karen Walton Kofnovec and husband Gary; son, Tom Robert Walton, Jr., and grandson, Cole Robert Kofnovec, all of Austin, Texas; and by many other family members and wonderful friends. Pallbearers will be Pete Robertson, Gary Kofnovec, Eddie Robertson, Joe Williams, Jon Williams, and Carl Frenkel. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilson Steedley, Roy Sovine, Dub Mayfield, Jim Morgan, Gilbert Bethel, Ronnie Godwin, Ron Harrison, and Bill Frazier. The family would like to thank the Seton Heart Failure Clinic, Dr. David Morris and all the nurses. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Friday, March 18, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Tarrytown Baptist Church, 2600 Exposition Blvd with Reverend Ragan Courtney officiating.
