Toni Marie Hobbs

Toni Marie Hobbs departed this life on Monday, February 2, 2009 at her home in South Austin. She was born December 6, 1952 in Trenton, New Jersey to Margaret Joan Borden and the late Albert Lawrence Borden Sr. She attended public schools in Trenton, New Jersey and continued her studies at Keuka College in upstate New York until she enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1971. She remained in the service until 1975. In 1980, Toni enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and retired from service in 1996. She became a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service where she remained until her passing. She is survived by her loving mother, Margaret Joan Borden; her devoted sister and brother, Sheila C. Vereen of Austin, Texas and Albert L. Borden Jr. currently residing in Hong Kong; a niece and great nephew, Nicole Dana Vereen and Nathaniel Lee Vereen-Burton of Omaha, Nebraska; and a loving aunt, Miriam Catto of Trenton, New Jersey. Toni also leaves behind Larry G. Hobbs, former husband and dear friend, and a host of friends and relatives throughout the United States; and her beloved four legged friend, Scooter.
