Terrie attended Austin Independent School District (A.I.S.D.) and, for 2 years, she attended school in Pennsylvania. She later returned to A.I.S.D. and graduated from Reagan High School in Austin, Texas. Terrie attended Austin Community College and received her Associates degree and, later, attended Texas State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in accounting.
During her younger years, she enjoyed spending time with her only sister and her three cousins. Terrie was always in the house but, from time to time, she would surprise everyone and be in the mix of things. At an early age, Terrie was always baking and trying new recipes for the family. She had a love for collecting holiday Barbies
She met the love of her life, Matthew McMillion, in April of 2009 and was married on March 24, 2012. To this union, one son was born, Matthew McMillion II.
Terrie was gainfully employed with Continental LTC, Inc., as a Tax Analyst. During her time there, she was the overseer for taxes for all fifty states to ensure they were in compliance with state and federal tax legislation.
Terrie was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents, and great-grandparents.
She leaves to cherish her memories: devoted, loving husband, Matthew McMillion; her son, Matthew McMillion II; and two stepsons, Brandon and Lyndon McMillion. She also leaves to cherish: her mother, Patricia Hunter Wingwood (Rodney); her only sibling, Turkeisha Sawyer; her aunt, Phyliss Clark, and her uncle, Aldric Jones, both of Austin, TX; and uncles, Waine, Lester, Keith, and Bruce Hunter, all from Pennsylvania. Terrie loved and cherished her two nieces, Monique and Monice Sawyer; and her nephew, Michael Sawyer, Jr.; along with two great-nephews, Tevell Knous, Jr., and Elijah Sawyer. Terrie held a close bond with her cousins, Nishonda Clark (Nikki), Niesha Clark (Shakey) and Nathan Montgomery. She always remained in contact and held a special bond with Michael Sawyer, Sr. (brother-in-law). She also leaves behind a large host of family and friends; she would like for you all to continue remembering her by her gentle smile, her quietness, and the love she shared and had for each and every one of you.
