Vickie Lynn Claypool

Vickie was born July 21, 1954 in Grafton, West Virginia to Ernest Ray and Mildred Grace Hovatter.

She moved to Austin, Texas at the age of nine with her family and attended Austin schools, graduating from Crockett High School in 1972. She married William Charles Claypool on September 1, 1972.

For the next 40 years, while raising a family with Bill, Vickie enjoyed a successful career as an accounting administrator in both International Education and A.I.S.D. She enjoyed traveling with her family, all over the United States, particularly to the mountains and beaches. She was an active member of Hill Country Bible Church of Austin.

Vickie is survived by her husband, William Claypool of Austin; sons, Daniel Claypool and wife, Tavia, and Kevin Claypool and wife, Anne; Grandchildren, Max and Ben Claypool; brother, Gary Hovatter; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Family visitation will be Monday, July 9, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home, with interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
