Virginia Ann von Rosenberg Moses

Virginia Ann von Rosenberg Moses, a proud 5th generation Texan and Austin resident, passed away April 19, 2013 at the age of 79. She was born in Lockhart, Texas, to Joseph Leslie and Jennie Crook von Rosenberg, Ann cherished the memories of her childhood, growing up with her three brothers on Lafayette Street in Austin. She had a wonderful life traveling the world with her husband, Bob, a career United States Air Force officer. She loved to travel, but was always most at home in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Joseph L. von Rosenberg, Jr.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert L. Moses, Jr.; two brothers, Arthur J. von Rosenberg and wife Frances of Spring Branch and Robert H. von Rosenberg and wife Sue of San Marcos. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Ann is also survived by her son, Martin and wife Nancy; daughter, Leslie Rice and husband Mike, all of Austin; three grandchildren, Nancy Arredondo and husband Tom, Jennie Dawes and husband Blake, and Kara Rice; five great- grandchildren, Maggie Arredondo, Molly Arredondo, Jack Arredondo, Heidi Dawes and Lylah Grace Dawes.

Visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on South Congress. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Oakwood Cemetery.
