

Walter attended public school in Austin, Tx. And attended and graduated from Old LC Anderson High School.
He acknowledged his faith in Christ and was baptized at an early age.
Walter served in the U.S. Air Force 1971.
In 1969 Walter united in holy matrimony to the late Joyce Pitts Thompson Wright to this union they were blessed with four lovely girls Lisa, Crystal, Shonda & Theresa. In 1989, Walter united in marriage to the late Debra Brooks Thompson to this union he was blessed to add to his family Charles Brown Jr. & Christopher Brown.
Walter’s career journey turned him into a passionate and experienced truck driver working for numerous trucking companies until he branched out to be an owner operator of his own 18-wheeler. Walter traveled for many years going across the country, where he achieved and was recognized as a “Million Mile trucker”. His radio handle was
“Beef Master”.
Walter was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan, his hobbies included playing dominos and spades. He had passion for remodeling cars and cooking his barbecue.
Those that departed before him were his parents, his wife, stepson; Christopher Brown, his grandson; De’trion Thompson Sr., granddaughter; Ashlynne M Brown, great-granddaughter; Keimari Kris Brown. His brothers; Irvin Wright Sr. and Booker T. Thompson Jr. His sister Bettie Harrell.
Walter’s love will be cherished by his daughters Lisa Higdon, Crystal Thompson Hill (Antonio), Shonda Thompson and Theresa Thompson, Stepson Charles Brown Jr., Brother Eugene Wright (Elveta), Sister Brenda M. Carrington. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
