

Wanda Daily, a long-time resident of Austin and an avid UT Longhorn fan, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Born in Wingate, Texas on April 28, 1923, she lived a full and wonderful life for 91 years.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Roland Daily; her sisters, Chris Cason, Loreece Ashley, Faye Green, Cleo Bishop, Gertie Lloyd, and Ruth Cone; and brothers, Bill Blackwell, Goodwin Blackwell, and infant, Jack Blackwell. Wanda is survived by her children and their spouses, Mike and Lucy Daily, Greg and Maria Daily, Pam and Steve Seger; grandchildren, Tracy and Joaquin Montes, Jeff and Becky Daily, Kyle Seger and Laura Daily; and great grandson, Connor Daily, all living in Austin, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Tommie Sikora, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wanda enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, and was an excellent cook. She volunteered with St. David's Women's Auxiliary for over twenty years and was a long-time member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was the heart that brought her family together to celebrate special occasions. Her eyes always lit up when she spent time with or talked about her grandchildren and great grandson. We are thankful for the many years we had with her and for her devotion to her family, strong faith, kindness to others and giving spirit. Her memory will live in our hearts forever.
Her family wishes to extend special thanks to her caregiver, Rosa Campos, and the nurses and doctors who assisted in her care at Brackenridge Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wanda's memory to Grace United Methodist Church, 205 E. Monroe, Austin, TX 78704, or to Alzheimer's Research.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Weed-Corley-Fish South location, 2620 S. Congress Ave., with interment at Memorial Hill Cemetery.
