Warren C. Thompson

Born July 17, 1943 to Lucille Bagby Thompson and Franklin Monroe Thompson in Cleveland, TN.

Began school at 4 years old in Dalton, GA. Graduated from Dalton High where he excelled in baseball and basketball. Joined the US Air Force, stationed in Oklahoma City and played baseball for the Air Force Team and traveled the world.

He moved to Texas later and met the love of his life on March 11, 1980, Melanie, and married her on June 7, 1980.

After retiring from GTE he began his successful company, Cable IT and retired after 10 years.

Warren was a jokester, love to tease family and strangers. Made people laugh and made life fun. He believed in his faith in God, his family and country. Later in life enjoyed tennis and bike riding with Karlo.

Survived by wife, Melanie, adored pups Karlo and Luke and wonderful nieces, nephews and just the best friends and neighbors.

Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Eugene and Bill Thompson, sisters Bobbie Miller and Jessie Nicol. Also preceded in death in May 2023 by his stepson Todd Johnson.

Graveside service August 19th, Austin Memorial Park 11am.
