

Rev. Webster Gregg, Jr., age 65, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 7, 2010. He was born on December 15, 1944 in Austin to Webster Gregg Sr. and Earline Hill. Rev. Gregg was an active member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Director of the Prison Ministry, and Author of “From A Prince To A Slave”.
He was preceded in death by his father, Webster Gregg, Sr. and brother, Jimmy Gregg.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Ruth Gregg; mother, Earline Carter; daughter, Davetta Gregg; son, Joseph Gregg and wife Andrea; granddaughter, Ja’Kayla Gregg; and sister, Jennie Gregg Rogers.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock on Monday, the 11th of October, in the evening at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Austin.
The funeral Service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 12th of October, at St. James Baptist Church, 3417 MLK in Austin. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Austin.
