

Wetia Sue Graves, of Austin, Texas passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the age of 81. Mrs. Graves was born Wetia Sue Branscum in a farm house in Jones County near Hamlin, Texas on December 5, 1932. She married William Herman Graves, Jr. on November 23, 1950 and together they worked a dairy farm near Brownwood, Texas until they moved to Austin in 1961.
Wetia worked as an accounting manager for the Internal Revenue Service until her retirement.
The Graves family liked to go camping and were members of the Good Sam Club for a number of years. Mrs. Graves was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother and loved to take her extended family camping with her. She was a member of the Austin Chapter 304 Order of the Eastern Star. She was also an avid Longhorn and Spurs fan and enjoyed working in her garden.
Mrs. Graves was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawton Dale Branscum and Ulysses S. Branscum, Jr.; husband, Herman; and daughter, Patricia Bates. She is survived by her son, Richard Graves and his wife, Dixie of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Elaine Knutson and her husband Jim of Austin, Texas; sister Edna Moore of Austin, Texas; sister Betty Friend of New Braunsfels, Texas; grandchildren Rick, David, Danny, Troy, Eric, and Kevin; and great-grandchildren Maya, Devin, Ethan, and Fagin.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, October 19, 2014 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
