

Dr. William Charles Grigsby Dr. William Charles Grigsby, Chuck passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at home July 2, 2004 at the age of 53. Dr. Grigsby was born in Austin on December 27, 1950 to Daisybel Riddell Grigsby and Bill Grigsby. He earned his doctorate in Applied Social Psychology in 1985 at the University of Texas at Austin. He held adjunct professorships at St. Edwards University and Austin Community College. He is most known for his research studies in the areas of homelessness, education, and organizational development. Chuck was loved and deeply appreciated by all who knew him. He saw the beauty in everyone and reflected it back. He enlightened conversations with words of wisdom and lightened up situations with grace and humor. Chuck was a devoted son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was a beautiful soul, a visionary, a wordsmith extraordinaire, a poet, an artist, a psychologist, a teacher, and a philosopher who saw life as a sweet melody a beautiful dance and song of love in the grand progression of this evolving cosmic symphony called life. He understood and saw through the complexities of being human to the truth of each individual with love and compassion. Our dear sweet Chuck, we will miss you so. Chuck is survived by his brothers John Grigsby and Jim Vagher; sister Gail Grigsby McMillan; aunts Modena Curington, Vonnie Fox and uncles Billy Joe Fox, Pat Riddell and his wife Ann; many cousins; and an extensive group of loving and devoted friends who will forever treasure his delightfully contagious enthusiasm for life. Services will be held Thursday, July 8th at 7:00 p.m. at the residence of Cater and Laura Joseph, 1610 Virginia Street.
