
William F. Bill Strohschein, age 82, of Austin, formerly of Tyler, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2006. Bill was an Elder Emeritus of the University Christian Church, a member of the Tyler Masonic Lodge #1233 AF&AM, and a longtime insurance agent in the Tyler area. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and circus fan, a talented watercolor artist and woodcarver. Bill was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be remembered by many. His wife of 58 years, Mary Frances Babe Strohschein, preceded him in death in 2002. Bill is survived by two daughters, Helen Strohschein and her fiancé Charlie Keens and Peggy Garen and her husband Rickey; his sister, Hazel Miller; two grandchildren, Joey Garen and wife Jennifer and Angela Thompson and husband Chris; five great-grandchildren and other family members. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at St. Philips United Methodist Church, 16321 Great Oaks Dr., Round Rock, TX 78681. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Mary Frances, in Jacksonville, Florida.
